There were balloons, posters, many smiles and hugs the day Elder Toots stepped off of the plane after serving a mission for two years in South Korea. Brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and grandparents were at the Salt Lake City Airport to greet the returned missionary! Following the gathering at the airport, the family headed to Carl's Junior (one of Tommy's favorites) for a late-night snack. The conversation with Uncle Tommy in the car on the way back to Grandma's house was comical as Krisee and Tommy spoke "Korean" to one another. And things felt normal again when Tommy did what Tommy does best!
Two goals of the Loveless Family Disney Land trip were to spend time with Uncle Tommy and to have fun! Both goals were accomplished during the week of July 18-24th. We stayed in St. George the first and last nights of our trip, where it was 105 at 8:30 at night. Luckily, the weather in Anaheim was in the 80's and perfect weather while standing for hours on end in lines! We decided our favorite time at Disney Land and California Adventure was at night, and we returned home after midnight every night. The four older kids were able to ride most of the rides, and after riding Tower of Terror, Kamren turned to his mom and said, "I wasn't scared." Uncle Tommy was rarely without a child hanging from his arm or sitting on his shoulders. We definitely broke him back in! He even got an accidental black eye from Kyle while in the pool! We enjoyed living and cooking together for the week! We even managed to get a little sleep!
